In Coneuacs Ga on January 16 Captain J W Murphey cashier of the Third National Bank shot and killed Assistant Cashier P T Shutze who was also an alderman. Murphey then killed himself with a pistol in a private bank room after a presumed insane moment. No witnesses were present. Coroner’s diary notes his recent illness strokes and unbalanced mind. Both men had been friends and were working on bank business.
President Williams of the Seaboard Air Line says in an authorized interview that J Dady of New York is not a stockholder of record or a voting trust certificate holder in the Georgia and Alabama railroad.
