Home Society hosts elegant luncheon in Ellaville

Ellaville Ga Jan 5 The Home Society hosted an elegant luncheon last Thursday honoring Rev R Bailey and bride at the Methodist church. Hall decorated with holly. guest list included Mrs Y Williams and Dr B L Hodges among others. Fellow society events featured an oyster supper raising funds for the U D Co with a Jack Horner plum prize.

Death in Webster County. Mrs Sapp’s Sudden Passing

Preston Ga Jan 5 Friends mourn the sudden death of Mrs Sapp at home five miles from town. Heart failure after milking the cow ended her life. She was a Christian woman and sister to J C Tullis, J W Montgomery, and G W Montgomery. Visitors and local families are noted, with holiday events and visits from relatives across the region.
