Big Excursion Arrives at Pine City with 700 Western Guests

A train of about 700 visitors from Ohio Indiana Illinois and Michigan arrived at Pine City yesterday. The Tropic al Home and Fruit Company sale of town lots brought prices from five to thirty dollars per front foot for business plots and eight to twenty dollars for residence plots.

Judge Fish Denies Removal In 8 A M Railroad Case

Grist From the Courts notes Judge Fish refused Equitable National Bank of Baltimore's petition to remove the Sumter Superior Court case against the Savannah Americus and Montgomery Railroad to the U S circuit court. Republicans Seize House Hall After Barricade Stand

In Torna Kau on February 15 a bloodless but tense clash occurred as Republicans stormed the statehouse after barricaded doors and armed populist guards blocked entry. Speaker Douglas used a sledge hammer to breach gates, enabling Republicans to take control of the representative hall and surrounding rooms amid militia Denouncement.
