Cincinnati reports Avondale Street railway car sheds and machine shops burned with an estimated loss of 175000. About 73 to 80 cars were stored there, most modern summer motor cars, and efforts to move them failed as flames and heat overwhelmed crews. The blaze origin is unknown but likely from a defective wire in the oil room.
