Escape on Royal Palm Train Tracked by City Police
In Macon on December 31 three white men jumped from the tender of the Royal Palm train near Walnut street trestle just after midnight. City motor cycle officers and railroad detectives pursued through streets including Bridge Row Mulberry Broadway and Wall Street Alley before losing the trail. The fugitives, reported to have escaped from the Federal penitentiary, wore dark clothing and caps.
