Remains of Maine disaster buried in Arlington

The remains of 100 victims of the Maine disaster, brought from Havana aboard the battleship, were buried today with full military honors at Arlington. President McKinley, his cabinet, Admiral Dewey, Major General Miles, and many officers attended. Marines fired a salute, and religious services were conducted by naval chaplains. Over 1,000 spectators watched the ceremony amid snow and cold.
