Georgia Legislature Ends Session With Tax Plan

Atlanta Dec 17 The legislature adjourned after passing the general tax and appropriation bills. The senate won on appropriations, guiding house amendments through conference action. The state tax rate for 1898 and 1900 is set at 5.26, a 85 cent drop from 1907 and 1908 levels. Governor and comptroller general will fix exact figures. Georgia appropriates 5000 for geological survey.
