Gunmen Blow Vault At Kansas Bank
Five bandits raided the Keats state bank near Manhattan Kansas early Wednesday, blowing a vault hole and escaping with 1900 in Liberty bonds 100 in stamps and 500 in cash. Authorities from nearby cities joined the search as telegraph wires were cut and villagers crouched in fear. Sheriff W A Hunter led a posse but no trace of the robbers was found.

Sumter county board of education voted to borrow 5000 dollars to cover all salary payments up to date for teachers.
