Southern bankers meet in Atlanta on elastic currency plan
The Atlanta Clearing House hosted a Southern bankers convention on December 13 to discuss currency reform. Speakers urged taking the government out of banking and adopting an elastic, two-specie system backed by federal supervision to boost national prosperity.
