State approves ten thousand for Textile School demand
The Legislature voted a 10 000 appropriation to the Textile department of the School of Technology. Other actions included reconsidering a railroad property tax plan, defeating a dispensary bill in Bleckley Early county, and Cabinet delays as President McKinley nears reception. Senate aims to shape a senate bill during return. Committee sessions leave little time for final adjustments before likely conference committees. State Geologist Yeates and former Governor Northern urged renewed funding for the geological survey.
