The plan includes extensive infrastructure work and projects across multiple facilities, reflecting a major investment in regional power capacity and grid modernization.
Dec 92 on Thursday afternoon Mrs Oscar Williams hosted the Young Matrons club at her Plains area home. Guests enjoyed autumn leaf decor and quail on toast with hot coffee. Attending were numerous local women and several friends visiting from Omaha and Vidalia as moves and visits touched the community.
In Andersonville on Friday afternoon, Andersonville outplayed Smithville 32 to 27. Johnson and M Holloway’s passing and dribbling unsettled Smithville in the first half, but Phillips led Smithville with 11 points while Andersonville’s top scorer had 20. A Friday evening conference on Christian Social Service was held at Calvary church parish house under Rev. James B. Lawrence with many congregation members and visitors. Speakers included Rev. H Hobart Barber and Rev. John Moore Walker who traveled by auto from Albany and stayed with Lawrence.
A two hour Allied premiers conference in London ended for lunch with leaders from Britain France Italy and Belgium present. Premier Poincare reportedly said France would consent to a two year moratorium on Germany if economic guarantees were provided.
London dispatch reports a Daily Telegraph correspondent stating Japan has formally requested admission to the conference of British French Belgian Italian premiers this weekend. The United States has not requested admission, but this may not block consideration of the issue.
Mr and Mrs Ward Wight Miss Emilee Dickey and John Wight were visitors in Americus Thursday en route to Atlanta after attending the marriage of Miss Laleah Wight to William McIntyre of Thomasville. Mrs George R Ellis Miss Etta Bryan and George Ellis Jr motored to Macon and will spend today with friends. Miss Georgia Bena Dodson is ill at her home on Lee street.
A fog shrouded collision between Atlantic Coast Line trains No 80 and No 52 at Hanahan station left one dead and about twenty injured, two seriously. The rear end crash halted No 52 for a hot box, with injured moved to Charleston by a special train.
