W L Robuck, Cordele's Men’s Bible class leader, resigned but after a class meeting at Bland Vila more than 150 men urged him to stay. The deeply spiritual gathering heard tributes to his long service before he agreed to continue teaching.
Cordele Baptists of the Houston association will send a car of provisions to the orphanage at Hopeville. The shipment leaves Cordele December 14 and will stop at Vienna and Pinehurst before reaching Atlanta. S.J. Culpepper of Cordele is chairman of the committee.
Cardele December 6 Little Annie Ruth Davis was treated at the local hospital after being struck by an automobile. Physicians believe she will recover from her injuries following a good day of treatment and observation.
Newport News dispatch reports a Martin bomber collided with a Fokker during a landing at Langley Field. Major Gearhart Captain Doyle and Sergeant Marick perished in the crash, with Privates Blynka Rolsa and Jordan also killed. Jordan is listed as from Deepstep Georgia.

Americus post No 133 held its annual election of officers in Dawson with Commander Melton presiding. Mayors of Dawson, Earl Cox, and J J Fort of Americus spoke on the Legion’s influence and scope. Albany officials and local members attended. a membership contest was introduced by Commander West of Albany.
