Burglars kill ex postmaster in Duryea saloon

In Duryea Pennsylvania Ex postmaster M F Oorce is shot and killed after burglars blow open a nearby safe in his saloon. His housekeeper Miss Monahan is gagged and bound as four men flee with about $300. Corcoran of the Duryea hotel fired on as he confronted the thieves but was wounded. Police seek four men seen with dynamite and revolvers in the area.

Doctor Forced Out At Wilmingtom Hospital

A report from Wilming ton states Dr B Zachary resident physician and steward at the city hospital was forcibly ejected by city authorities after an order from Mayor Wes Waddell. Dr Zachary refused to accept the appointed temporary superintendent and plans to test the city and county in court for damages.
