Hamburg dockers strike to submit dispute to arbitration

About 8000 strikers attended a December meeting adopting resolutions to accept a court of arbitration for the dockers dispute. The panel will include police chief, city president, council chair, trades court chair, plus one leading employer and four labor representatives. William Patrick Barry Tragedy Near Hanvarp Farm

A farmer couple near Hanvarp Ill south of the city discovered their four-year-old child had ingested poison. Strychnine was found in the home and three of the five involved are believed to be dying. An investigation follows to determine how the poison entered the household.
