Twenty Nine Men Die In Mine Flood Disaster

In Colage Aug 90 a flood from a wall breach trapped twenty nine miners in Sleepy Hollow Americus and related mines. Dispute over drainage sharing among Gregory Bobtail Fiske Americus Sleepy Hollow left lower levels flooded, forcing pumping by neighbors and enabling the mass submersion. Survivors above the break faced no danger. The incident reveals a long standing ownership dispute and a mine insurance scheme requiring 3 percent wage assessments with survivor benefits.
