Negro tramps thwart attempt to wreck train in Florida
Two accused negro tramps, Henry Williams and Henry Smith, were captured after placing crossties on the Louisville and Nashville southbound train near Pex- sacona Florida. Quiruax Ga Aug 27 The little city of Pidcock in Quitman County was almost wiped out by fire at the Quitman Lumber company complex located at the junction of the Georgia Northern line and the Savannah Florida and Western railroad. The blaze swept a dry kiln area and the mill and tambor were insured for 45 000, but the total loss to the town and lumber outfit is far greater.
