In Augusta and Brunswick Me on August 23 Charles G Dawes Republican vice presidential nominee said he opposed the Ku Klux Klan though many join it for law and order. Harris confident in renomination for U S Senate

Senator W J Harris in Atlanta expressed strong confidence in his re election bid and released letters from Georgia voters. He cited defeat of only four southern counties in 1918 and predicted overwhelming renomination on September 10, noting widespread support from farmers, businesspeople, laborers, professionals, and especially women for Prohibition and moral stances. Flyers Reach Continent Early On Sunday

A Marconi wireless message from the US destroyer Lawrence off Indian Harbor Labrador says the American World flyers are expected to reach Indian Harbor Sunday. It notes no preference for Lieut Locatelli, the missing Italian aviator, who left Reykjavik with the flyers, and asks managers to keep wireless stations open for messages during the voyage.

Tubercular Cattle in Georgia Test Results Published
