Reports detail a fierce clash at Coal Creek where 3 000 miners attacked Fort Anderson. Educator Institute closes in Americus after successful session

The Peabody Institute session in Americus ends with over 300 teachers in attendance and more than 100 leaving satisfied with the progress made. A closing concert by colored teachers is noted along with resolutions thanking organizers and speakers. Services at Calvary Episcopal Church are scheduled for tomorrow.
