Mrs Cecile Ware wife of a New Orleans cotton exchange member has sworn out a warrant charging Clark G Kuney former Three Lakes banker with larceny of 92000. She says she loaned the funds to market a Wisconsin crop. Kuney is jailed in Fort Myers Florida on similar charges. He faces a divorce suit filed by James Ware.

A Danville mother’s letter to Manila police leads to locating her son Frank Sapp who enlisted 25 years ago and stayed in the Philippines. At the Scottish cattle breeding conference in Edinburgh Major E N Wentworth of Armours Bureau Chicago said the United States has surpassed sheep and mutton consumption relative to production and is at beef balance. He predicted British colonies may export to the US within 15 years as industrial demand rises and wages stay high. Father and Son Movement gains world reach

Walter W. Head of Omaha reports the Father and Son Movement spreading globally through Y M C A channels. He notes over 20 nations observe Father and Son Week and more than 3,000,000 fathers and sons in the U S joined events last year. Kane Goff of Tifton Ga a contractor with the Florida East Coast railroad dropped dead while going to work in the Uplands area. Physicians said heart trouble caused the unexpected death. The death occurred after a call from Okeechobee earlier today in Orlando Florida.

Cotton opens as Americus warehouses take in bales

At noon today 119 bales of new cotton were weighed at Americus warehouses with more expected before night. Gins operate in all parts of the county as picking continues and the season is expected to open in full next week with bales rolling steadily.

World flyer may be indefinitely delayed in Iceland

Washington August 16. Department from Reykjavik of the American world fliers may be indefinitely delayed to await improved weather conditions, indicated in a message to Major General Patrick head of the air service, front Lieut. Lowell H. Smith flight commander. The message dated yesterday from Reykjavik said new delays due to ice and other circumstances and added the fliers will leave as soon as practicable.

Duke's International Hospital Tokyo Receives 75000 Gift

Tokio August 16. Duke's International Hospital in Tokyo run by the American Episcopal Mission Board led by Dr. R B Teusler has been given 75000 dollars by the Japan Red Cross via the Department of Home Affairs. The donation honors the hospital's aid to Japanese charity patients after last September's earthquake and fire. Dr Teusler is in America raising funds for reconstruction after the institution burned in the September conflagration.

Baptism Planned Sunday at McMath's Mill

Rev. E. T. Moore announced baptismal services for Sunday at 3 o'clock in McMath's Mill. Reports say the number of candidates is not yet known. Candidates were converted during the revival at Rehoboth church on Dawson road four miles from Americus. The meetings, led by Moore, drew large crowds with fifteen joining by profession or letter and Preston Orchestra providing music. The revival spirit is described as the strongest in Rehoboth history.

Leroy Murray Gets Deserved Promotion

Americas friends of LeRoy Murray will be interested in the announcement from Atlanta that he has been transferred from Jacksonville Florida to Washington D C by the Nunnally company. He becomes district manager for the Nunnally company in Washington Richmond and Norfolk. He is the younger son of Dr Emmett Murray and has long served Nunnally in Atlanta Birmingham and Jacksonville. His promotion places him in charge of Nunnally interests in the District of Columbia and Virginia.

Unknown man may be woman's slayer in Los Angeles

Police have testimony that Mrs. Iva Martin, who lived in the house with McCoy and Mrs. Theresa Mors, heard the shot and saw two men leave just before Mrs. Mors was found dead. She identified one man as not McCoy and caught only a glimpse of the other.

Darrow Wins Point In Franks Hearing On Leopold Doubt

Chicago August 16 The Franks hearing turned into a two hour exchange as Clarence Darrow and Dr D Singer clashed over questions to Nathan Leopold and Richard Loeb. Singer admitted he asked no questions when the youths were underage and said his conclusions rested on observations only. Bathing Beauties To Be Here Monday

Stuart Prather of the Windsor hotel announced a party of bathing girls will arrive in Americus Monday. The group, led by Jacksonville Mayor John T.
