Rotarians from Albany Columbus Macon Moultrie Thomasville Quitman and Valdosta will attend a Southwest Georgia gathering in Americus August 30 hosted by the Americas club. Governor Ken Guernsey will attend from Orlando Florida. The program starts at 3 p m with golf swimming and other events and dinner at 6 30 p m at the Windsor hotel. A boys swimming contest is planned and Charles Lanier told of his Europe trip to the club.

Walter Rylander Wins 8th Golf Tournament at Club
The Golf club championship concluded with 34 entrants in two flights. Walter Rylander tied for medalist with Lucius McCleskey in 18 holes, then Rylander won by one stroke. McDonald beat Rylander in the first flight final to claim the championship. Peck Rylander was runner-up. Henry Clay and Lucius McCleskey earned trophies in the beaten four and beaten two. Howell Elam and Lucas Thiers won consolation honors. In the second flight H O Jones defeated Dr Wheeler for the trophy. Dave Andrews won beaten four, Bill Dodson won beaten two, Billy Moreland the consolation with Dusty Burke runner-up. A trophy was offered for the lowest nine-score by club pro Mr. Byles.
