They also plan a grist mill and finishing plant at College’s Siding, creating a thrifty town as drainage and improvements increase land value. The project aims to make the site a premier Seaboard Railway resort one mile east of Pint River and two miles from Conn.

Negro in cell tells story of his crime
In a county jail cell near Americus Isath Singleton described killing a girl aged about twelve during a quarrel between him and his wife. The shooting occurred when the wife’s brother blocked the gun as Singleton aimed at his wife, the blast killing the daughter who was not involved. Singleton was captured and awaiting trial for murder.
