Ellaville church revival draws growing crowds in Aug

From Our Regnar Correspondent Ellaville Ga Aug 10 the protracted services at the Baptist church since last Thursday night grow in interest and attendance. Rev Mr Nowell assisted by Rev Mr Reid of Buena Vista preaches plainly to move sinners to repentance and the indifferent to duty. All day singing led by Mr T Chatman of Tazewell with a return to songs of youth and old soldiers of the cross. Several locals noted for health and travel are mentioned alongside visitors and relatives.

Stock sale ends month as 57 cent dollar price cuts spread

The Duncan Mercantile Company stock was sold at 57 cents on the dollar as it went out of business. Stock remains on Forsyth Street near the old post office building, offered at bargain prices and prepared for rapid clearance before the lease expires.
