Reconsidering Lady Visitors Bill for Milledgeville College
In Augusta Georgia on August 1 Mr Atkinson moved to reconsider yesterday's defeat of a bill to appoint a board of Lady Visitors to the State Female College at Milledgeville. He argued the board would aid poor women, with one member from each district, and a $300 annual expense. Supporters pressed for equal protection to taxpayers and education for women, while opponents warned against unnecessary spending. The yeas and nays totaled 63 to 36, and the motion passed. A petition from a lower county requests a bill banning boys and girls from sitting together in Zion Church, but the mover has not decided on action.

Schedule Change for Southwestern Night Train
