In Andersonville on Tuesday afternoon Ida Easterlin visited town while A Slappey, recently ill with influenza, is reported much improved. Several locals, including Mrs O L Dykes and Miss Annie Highnote, traveled by car to Ellaville and joined a group heading to Americus. A chautauqua event drew attendance, with Mr Moore and H C Hedges among those present. The minstrel featured Mr and Mrs Haynes and others. Several residents plan a Montezuma trip this evening. Nearby, C J Williams of Cus spent Thursday with friends. Emma Williams returns by afternoon train. Dykes and Cooper visited Americus Thursday afternoon. O A Johnson and sister Miss Green of Atlanta, accompanied by Miss Mabel Clapton, visited Oglethorpe Thursday.

U. S. Civil Service Exams For Third Grade Clerkship
The Civil Service Commission announces an exam for third grade clerical positions to be held May 8 in Americus.
