Wm Harris colored, jailed on an assault with intent to murder charge after a Sunday night quarrel near Davison's Mill in the Seventeenth district. He allegedly struck Dean Pullam with a heavy stick, fracturing his skull. Pullam is in critical condition. Harris faces probable murder before trial, with both men known for rough reputations.
