Mrs. Paul J. Brown wife of Albany Exchange National Bank president died at home about noon after a gas water heater exploded in the bathroom. Firemen and Albany physicians attempted resuscitation using a pulmotor but she remained unconscious. The blast blew out the bathroom window and towels in the room were scorched. The exact cause unclear whether fumes or concussion led to her condition.
