Black Run to Earth by 13 near Austin quarrel over wages
A Round Rock man, Jack Robertson, a Black man, was shot and killed by a posse after wounding Mr and Mrs R L Eggar in Round Rock. The shooting followed a wage dispute. Eggar and his wife were hospitalized in Georgetown with serious injuries. their 14 year old daughter Willie Mae alerted neighbors. A posse of about 150 pursued Robertson, who was killed five miles from Round Rock after opening fire. A woman was arrested for investigation with no formal charges.

Free Exhibition At Joy Ride This Evening
A thrilling motorcycle exhibition is planned at the Joy Ride in Tri-State Fair park this afternoon between 7 and 8 oclock under the Amarillo Motorcycle Company. About 10 or 15 riders including Lonnie Johnson Chester Grounds and Charles Cauer will perform with no admission charge. The Joy Ride remains open to the public all day, with further thrill after the exhibition.

Grain Inspector's Receipts Drop as Farmers Hold Wheat
About 200 cars of wheat were inspected yesterday by Federal Grain Inspector Jno F Ross. The decline from the day before is blamed on farmers holding grain on farms and piling it in bins or on the ground until bins are ready. One car tested 63.7 pounds, above earlier records but not unusual for this harvest. The wheat average is about 62 pounds test, unusually high for the Panhandle.

Citizens aid Amarillo and Potter county as investigators piece together motive in a baffling murder of Mrs. Exa Payne 35 and critically injuring her son A D Payne Jr 12.
