Motorcycle Rider Breaks Leg in Panhandle Highway Collision
J. E. McDaniel 19 suffered a broken right leg and companion Gus Acton bruises when their motorcycle collided with a car on the Panhandle highway about a mile east of the city. They were rushed to Northwest Texas Hospital by Griggs Ambulance. McDaniel lives at 109 Mary land and works at the smelter. The crash followed a sudden stop by a car in front of the cycle.

Policeman and bootlegger shot in Detroit home
In Detroit two gunmen killed Barney Roth a 48 year old Hamtramck police special investigator and John Metz an alleged bootlegger as they talked in Roths home. The shooters fled and another man was fired at by the suspects who then left. Mrs Roth said the pair planned to go to federal court together.

Three Die in Neptune Fireworks Plant Blast
In Neptune New Jersey three people died two of them children and a third child is missing after a fireworks factory by Frank Cimino exploded three times in quick succession. The factory and a story and a half home were razed and three adults were seriously injured as the blasts wrecked the area. The dead include Frank Cimino Consiglio a 70 year old father and Cimino Millie a nine year old daughter. Dolores Renna two years old of Brooklyn was also killed. The injured include Mary Cimino Nancy Renna and Alfred Del Fiore. Doctor M Gould of Perth Amboy and J L Coddington witnessed the scene as the house and factory burned.

A ten thousand dollar blue ribbon Holstein bull named Alphonse swam across New York harbor on the New York to Brooklyn leg of a Germany bound ocean trip. Tech students rescued in New Mexico mountains
H Y Price a senior at Texas Technological College and Miss Willie Mae Hawthorne of Lubbock were found early today by forest rangers after an all night search. They were lost near Ruidoso New Mexico while a party of Epworth League members stayed at a summer resort. Bret Aiken led the rescue and the pair were exhausted but in good condition taken back to Ruidoso.

Florence July 6 Dr. G F Sikes 50 of Salemburg NC physician collided with his wife’s car while answering a call. He waved to her as he passed and his car swerved into hers causing both vehicles to overturn. Mrs Sikes was killed and the doctor sustained a fractured shoulder blade.

Pampa Girl Missing Since Last Sunday Still Not Found
Nada Doss a 17 year old Pampa girl disappeared last Sunday night from her home. A suspect, Bob Carter about 21, is held on warrants in connection with a car theft from B C Newman.
