Man Hit by Car Injures Walking in Amarillo

Ralph Sisson aged 45 of 1468 North Apache suffered serious injuries when struck by a car near the Arthur Street and North East Eighth intersection at about 8 30 last night. He was taken to St Anthony’s Hospital by a Boxwell Brothers ambulance. He had a severe head injury a fractured left leg and cuts and bruises. The car was driven by Kenneth R Roberts Route 3 Clovis NM who stayed to aid until the ambulance arrived. Police said Sisson stepped off the curb eight feet from the intersection. Roberts planned to stay in Amarillo over night.

Injured After Ohio Greyhound Bus and Car Crash

In Lebanon Ohio 37 people were hurt two seriously when a Greyhound bus and a car collided on US Route 42 near Mason. The car driver Paul Briel 60 Cincinnati photographer and a woman passenger Mrs Josselyn Farmer Cincinnati were rushed to hospitals. Bus driver William Davis 30 Ludlow Falls and 34 passengers were treated for injuries. The bus rolled over twice and many passengers escaped through broken windows.

Galveston floods as 14.2 inches drench city in 1900-like deluge
