Pierson Gilmore Tucker co founder of Jewel Food Distributors died after a lengthy illness at his Amarillo home. He was 85 and had served as president and general manager of Jewel Food Distributors until health limited his activity in 1954. A native of Arkansas, he moved to Amarillo in 1932 from Eastland Texas after earlier owning hotels and coffee shops.
