Amarillo Voters to Decide on 864000 Refunding Bonds
Taxpayers in Amarillo will vote November 10 on an 864000 refunding bonds issue to refinance city bonds and warrants. The bond run time up to 40 years at 4 percent. existing bonds carry 5 to 6 percent. If approved the tax rate could be set at 1 dollar per 100 valuation, not increasing overall debt.
