Stinnett Sept 30 Rowland Rugeley jailed over the Borger State Bank robbery valued at 8100. He claimed he gave about 4200 away that night and kept none of the loot. Police said the difference was covered by several small checks and questioned him about the missing funds. Rugeley implicated himself and two others in the case.
In Texas, Orbie Carl Sullivan 14 of Wichita Falls and his father Carl E. Sullivan of Oakland met for the first time since birth. Orbie lived with grandparents in Texas until his father sent for him, after his mother died. The reunion followed long separation and military service.
In Austin on September 30, W. L. Stribling of Atlanta was allowed floor privileges and spoke briefly despite Rep. B. J. Forbes of Weatherford opposing, saying it advertised pugilism. Forbes pressed that boxing exhibitions be avoided and the reception committee chairmanship motion was withdrawn after his protests.

A Cincinnati passenger train engine and mail car derailed at a Kanakee crossing on the Big Four line and were hurled into a ditch. Fireman Carrig of Chicago died in the crash.

Officials cite no formal reformatories or funding for juvenile Negro girls, urging action from state leaders while noting the high cost of transporting the youths from Fort Worth.
Murr and Harper, Amarillo traffic officers suspended during the indictment in the July 26 slaying of Bill Elston, were back on duty. Fort Worth Sept 300. John Farrington was named general manager of the Fort Worth and Denver City Railway to succeed J H Aydelotte. Announcement by John H Hulen said Farrington, previously general superintendent of the Missouri Iowa lines of the Burlington, will assume the post tomorrow. Aydelotte moves to Omaha to oversee Burlington lines west of the Missouri River.
At a Texas Railroad Commission hearing in Austin 89 percent of Crane and Upton field operators signed a recommendation to cap oil production at 18 000 barrels daily with Panhandle and East Texas excluded. The panel postponed Van field action to October 13 and set October 8 for further talks on common purchaser law for natural gas. John R. Suman of Humble Oil proposed 76 000 barrels daily for the Yates Pool in West Texas.
A federal court jury found EB. E. Boxwell and sons Howard and Paul not guilty on all five counts of fraudulently concealing assets tied to the Blackburn Boxwell Funeral Home bankruptcy case. The verdict followed a three day plus trial, with the fourth count dismissed for Howard and Paul.
A group of Amarillo business leaders and residents traveled to Lubbock for a day at the South Plains Fair. The delegation, including Bill Lampe and Mason King, left Amarillo early and planned to return later today, with others already in Lubbock for the event.
Two Krunck brothers from Berlin performed as the Gregg brothers in a human cannonball act at the Oklahoma State Fair. Will Gregg fell short of nets due to a malfunction and later died from a fractured skull after watching his brother Cliff perform. The act was suspended by fair officials.
JOE BOWERS 60, renowned rancher and oil man of Pampa, dies of pneumonia at St Anthony's Hospital at 4:30 AM. He built a fortune from oil on land near Pampa and Hemphill County, survived by three sons Aubry John and Jodie, a sister Mrs R N Lewis Levelland and brothers J L and J T Bowers. Sons were at his bedside. funeral planned for Thursday in Pampa.
Wichita Falls reports testimony to start in the murder trial of John Alsup former Fort Worth police officer. Judge P A Martin set 1 30 PM as the session opener after veniremen were exhausted. juror H B Smith of Burkburnett was seated. Alsup is charged with killing Isaac Tatenegro after a failed bank robbery at Polytechnic First State Bank on April 10, 1930.
