American pilots of a Lightnings unit claimed 105 downed Japanese planes and faced 20 new Type Th interceptors over Wewak in a bomber raid defense. Only three of the interceptors reached bombing Liberators. Allied HQ reported 33 tons dropped on Wewak and 28 tons on Madang with no Allied losses.
