14-Foot Fall Kills Clarence W. Dial
Clarence W. Dial, 47, manager of the Amarillo Ice Company, died after falling 14 feet from an icing platform on Second Avenue and Monroe Street while servicing a train. Injured crew members summoned help, but he died at the scene. Dial moved to Amarillo two years ago from Borger after a six month stay in Oklahoma City.
