Pastor Attacks Fashion as Immoral Waste
Washington, Sept. 15. Dr Adam Powell Davies of All Souls Unitarian Church urged American women to resist changing fashions calling them immoral and comparing short hemlines to a herd of cattle. He warned long skirts would render 20th Century emancipation a boast. He said new fashions waste material and reflect foolishness in a world crying for wisdom.
