Airy reported 10 US troops posted at Outpost 5 north of Trieste repelled a 2,000 strong Yugoslav assault near Goriano to Prosseco. He described the clashes as a tense, bloodless stand as Trieste was proclaimed a free city and Yugoslavs sought to enter the city rather than hinterland.

Shift Orchestra Practice Tonight
