All Hands Help Erect the Big Top for Circus Opening
The Cole Brothers Circus put up the big top at Seventeenth and Grand starting Sunday afternoon with elephants Jenny and Jeanie assisting. By Monday morning the tents, seats, and equipment were ready for the 2:15 PM show. Laughing George Davis led the cooks serving a early breakfast and lunch for performers by 10:30.
