A Dallas family. J B Hensley a 3 year old boy from Mr and Mrs C A Hensley died from injuries after an automobile truck struck him in front of their home. Family were searching for lost articles after a Sunday fire damaged the house.
In Opelousas Louisiana on September 4 four people died in a polling place gunfight at Plaquemine Point in St. Landry Parish. Victims named are Joe Cormier John B Childs and his two sons. Wounded are Arville and Baptise Richards. The clash began with Joe Cormier and John B Childs. Cormier killed Childs and the two Cormier sons were later killed.
President Arturo Alessandri of Chile resigns and is succeeded by General Luis Altamerino, head of the military cabinet which assumed power Friday night. Alessandri and his family stay as guests of the American ambassador awaiting constitutional authorization to depart. The new cabinet, led by Altamerino, has taken over executive functions.

Maricopa Arizona September 9 George Ward 46 fireman of Tucson was killed when the Sunset Limited a Southern Pacific passenger train derailed after leaving the rails near Maricopa A heavy storm hampered telegram service and wreck crews from Phoenix and Tucson were due to arrive.
Mrs. George Laws of Milano and her daughter Marie, 13, were bonded in the fatal shooting of George Laws, 42, at their home near Cameron. Authorities say Mrs Laws reported the third shot was fired as her husband choked her.
W. A. Hill was found guilty of burglary in the district court and given a five year suspended sentence. Otis Hill was convicted of saddle theft and received fifteen days plus court costs. The district court suspended proceedings until Thursday when the criminal docket resumes.
Mrs May Peterson Thompson accepts Texas Legion sponsorship for the 1925 national convention in St Paul Minnesota. She will join the Texas delegation on a special train from Fort Worth, aiming to win over veterans to bring the gathering to Texas. After St Paul she heads to New York to plan a two week concert tour beginning October 14 in Mount Clair New Jersey.
A heavy rainstorm in Shanghai halted fighting between the Chekiang and Kiangsu armies west and north of the city as tradition dictates a ceasefire during bad weather. Chekiang forces, defending Shanghai, had slight gains in places while maintaining ground overall after resuming an offensive.

Amarillo Panhandle Automotive association voted to stage an automobile style show in the Merchants and Automobile building during the Amarillo Tri-State exposition. Twenty two booth spaces were signed. only twenty booths remain. H B Maddux of Decatur Texas posted 500 bond after being charged with Mann act violation linked to the Sunday morning killing of Mrs Anna bell Barker in Childress Texas. Mrs Maddux, mother of two, posted 2000 bond and left for her parents home in Bridgeport Texas after surrendering to local authorities.

O R Cotton and Pink Reed, Limestone county farmers, were wounded when a negro went on a rampage near Prairie Hill. Cotton was shot while trying to capture the assailant after the wife was shot. Reed, a posse member, was struck in the loin. The negro was killed by Reed after being wounded. Both Cotton and Reed were hospitalized in Waco and conditions were described as improving.
The Rev Max A X Clark, conducting revival services at the Tabernacle in Portales and in Portales, Met Ada Mask of Portales at the State Encampment of the Assemblies of God. They wed at Rev G F C Fons home 501 Madison St with Rev Fons officiating. Clark was a Bible teacher at the state meeting where they met.

Funeral services for T. C. Tanner 29 died Saturday afternoon in Denver Colorado where he was employed as a florists helper will be held at 5 o'clock this afternoon at the First Christian church with Rev F W O Malley officiating. His body arrived from Denver at 6 this morning with his parents living seven miles east of the city. The body will lie in state at Griggs Undertaking company until 430 o'clock Burial will be in Liane cemetery.
A car owned by Mr and Mrs P Flaxman of St Charles apartments overturned on a hill north of Canyon injuring Mrs Flaxman and Mrs Lyles a third passenger. Mr Flaxman was unhurt but medical attention was required for the two women. injuries described as cuts and bruises.
