Horse Show Headquarters Announced

Room 240 of the Amarillo Building has been named as head quarters for the horse show to be held at Malin Field September 19 and 20. Mrs Ned O Miller, general chairman, said the promotion committee will staff the headquarters daily 9 to 5 until Sept 19 when the site moves to the Herring Hotel for the show. Mrs N P Nelson will manage box reservations at the Amarillo Building head quarters.

Hog rescued after sewer chase in Carthage town

Rushville reports townspeople in Carthage searched a mill race sewer for a 150 pound hog that fled into the sewer system. They lowered corn on a string through a manhole and the hog bit, allowing bystanders to seize and pull it out. Build Now. John Maynard Lumber Co.
