Mother's Love Outshines All Others Says Dear Dorothy Dix

It contrasts wartime divorces with maternal devotion, noting mothers wait at gates and support wayward children while husbands and wives face trials. The second piece advises a man who wants to break a two-year engagement with a 17 year old to end it, as they are not in the same life stage. It warns against threats of self harm and calls the girl childish for reacting.
