Farm Animals Avoid Heat by Reducing Activity
Farmers note that most livestock shed heat by lowering activity in hot conditions as sweat is minimal and body temperature rises slowly. Grazing and movement decrease to conserve energy and prevent overheating among cattle, pigs, and sheep alike.
