Trained to Aid Blinded Veteran Tex Becomes Guide
Mrs. Joe Meacham of Amarillo who has been blind for over 20 years gains a seeing eye dog named Tex. The dog, an Army veteran with serial 5-V-77, was donated by R L Frazier after a roundabout search aided by Crosbyton and Ta hoka area residents. Tex now guides Mrs. Meacham on walks and to a grocery, though he craves a bar of candy.
