Settlement Reached in Lamesa Killing Case Out of Court

Son Beats Aged Mother To Death In Louisiana
Alfred Martina, 20, beat his 66 year old mother Mary Martina to death with a bludgeon at their Pineville area home four miles from Alexandria. Neighbors heard cries from Martina’s daughter, 17, and found the scene as Martina lay bound to the ground. He reportedly had been released from a hospital for the insane after recovery but was placed in parish jail following the discovery.
