Kingston Ontario October 20 U P report said another outbreak occurred at Kingston penitentiary. Mayor G C Wright told United Press the prison officials asked police and fire departments to stand by, though they were not needed. He did not believe the disturbance lasted more than two hours.

Oklahoma towns Laverne and Rosston saw the season's first snow this morning around 9 o'clock. The snow began earlier and melted quickly upon touching the ground.
Texarkana Arkansas officers arrested a Cass County farmer in connection with the slaying of Deputy Melvin Brackman and the wounding of Deputy J C Crain during a highway stop of a truck carrying four gallons of liquor. Crain identified the shooter as the man who killed Brackman, while the sheriff questioned an enmity motive and noted liquor charges. Three other suspects, including a woman, fled the scene and were being sought.
George M. Willetts, former vice president of Armour and Company, fell from an eleventh floor apartment window in Chicago. He had recently resigned and had been unable to work after a car accident left him injured for a year. Mrs Willetts was in the apartment at the time.
The Fort Worth and Denver City Railway will add 40 trainmen to move Southwest cotton cargoes. John A. Hulen, vice president, announced the expansion, estimating four extra weeks to complete the task.
