Italian Gang Warfare Renewed In St. Louis Killing

Joseph Monti a 28 year old salesman was shot dead near his home in what appears to be a renewed Italian gang war in St Louis. The gunman fled in an automobile after the ambush which followed a janitor's remark that the slayer and Monti rode together. Ten gang related deaths have occurred in fifteen months.

Boy Killed in Pampa Car Crash Near White Deer

The Associated Press reports 13 year old Henry Clayton Mauldin died after a touring car he drove went over an embankment near White Deer, injuring him. the crash occurred yesterday and he died in a Pampa hospital.

Burned body of missing air mail pilot found

The burned airplane and the cremated body of air mail pilot William C. Hopson were recovered three miles east of Polk Pennsylvania. Hopson, on the New York to Cleveland mail run, was sighted by residents at 2 am earlier, when a bright light was reported.

Berkeley coed Jewel Irwin dies by gas suicide

Jewel Irwin a 20 year old University of California student reportedly took her life by gas in Berkeley. The death is said to be the third family suicide within months with brother Frank J Irwin dying by gas in Glendale last March and sister in law Kathleen Hays committing suicide in St Louis recently.

Denver Banker Dies in Atlantic City Plane Crash

A sightseeing flight over Atlantic City ended in a crash blamed on a frightened passenger who seized the controls. W Octave Chanute, Denver investment banker and convention delegate to the Investment Bankers Association, died in hospital two hours after the crash. Four other passengers were injured.

New Denver & South Plains Line Set for Opening

Seven lower Panhandle counties prepare to celebrate the New Denver and South Plains railway as it begins operations next month. The line will join the Fort Worth and Denver City system November 10 with receptions November 20-21 along the route. White-Faced Boy of 20 Hanged for Murder of Child
