Judge and witnesses arranged for preliminary hearing in municipal court as handwriting expert Milton Carlson prepared to testify. Bernice Morris faced further questioning as three hours were needed to complete examination.
Del Rio report from October 19 states thousands of Mexican cattle are being driven across the border into Texas to dodge a new export tax set to take effect October 24. American cattlemen say the tax will nearly halt export of Mexican cattle as duties on livestock leave the country. About 10,000 head have been driven south of the border toward Texas, verified here today.
City engineer H B Jones announced Amarillo will get water from the new plant around May 1 1927 with the main pipe line and other units near completion.
