Doors of Jail Stuck Again in Potter County
Potter County commissioners moved to switch jail door repairs away from the longtime Texas firm. Purchasing Agent Bowen Cox will seek another company to service locks and doors. The county previously paid over $700 for new locks and ongoing smaller repairs. Judge Gene Jordan urged sourcing from a different prison supply firm. The current out-of-town mechanic costs include $25 daily and travel expenses to Amarillo. Sheriff Paul Gaither and Cox have local mechanics handling the repairs in the meantime.
