French heavy artillery fired along a 100 mile front from the Moselle to the Haardt Forest as German forces fortified for a potential large offensive. Reports say reinforcements bring German strength to 700,000 800,000 opposite Maginot line.
London dispatch says German planes attacked coastal targets in Scotland this afternoon while the RAF reported inflicting casualties.
