Clovis High Band Wins 25 Prize At Fair Exposition
The 70 piece Clovis High School band directed by L. W. Gray won a 25 prize for best broadcast program from the Fair Grounds studio. Judges spent over an hour deliberating among four finalists before selecting New Mexico’s Clovis unit for its varied selections and high musicianship. Wilbur C. Hawk, Fair president, mailed the prize to director and Clovis High School superintendent.
