Amarillo Builders Hit Drastic Slump Amid Material Shortages
In Amarillo the past two weeks show a sharp drop in home building as finishing materials and oak flooring run scarce. Permits fell to a yearly low of 54118 the week before last and 31145 the recent week, with a 6000 permit to R F Bradenburg for a four room temporary dwelling. Some builders say they will not start new projects until current work finishes, citing OPA controls and supply delays.

Scouts Tour Santa Fe Shops and Roundhouse
